Pool of the item type from the game files, version 2.8.0. Skill damage bonuses only carry weight for their class. All properties of this slot
The Stone of Jordan is far more valuable than its appearance would suggest. Men have given much to possess it.
Stone of Jordan
The Stone of Jordan is a classic ring with two central strengths: it noticeably raises your damage against elites and at the same time brings all your elemental damage bonuses up to the level of your highest static elemental bonus. The latter is especially valuable for builds mixing skills of different elements, since every one of your elements then benefits from the same, maximum bonus.
That makes the ring suitable for both single-element builds and hybrid setups combining several damage types, and it shines additionally in elite-packed Greater Rifts. Tip: make sure at least one high elemental skill bonus sits on your gear, since the Stone lifts all the others to exactly that level - the higher your peak value, the stronger the overall effect for your mixed damage.
Picking the Element on the Ring
Besides +416–500 Dexterity, Intelligence or Strength, the ring can carry a 15–20% bonus to Cold, Poison, Arcane, Holy, Lightning, Fire or Physical skills. That roll is itself one of your static elemental bonuses, so it can be exactly the peak value the power copies onto every other element. Pick the element your main skill hits with. If the ring rolled the wrong one, the Mystic can re-enchant that property - just keep in mind that this uses up the ring's single re-enchant.
Elite Damage, Mana and the Remaining Slots
The 25–30% bonus against elites is built in, so you never have to gamble for it. From level 70 the ring can drop as Ancient; a Primal Ancient copy maxes every range, meaning 30.0% against elites, 150 Maximum Mana and 20% to the chosen element. The fixed 120–150 Maximum Mana only matters for classes that actually spend Mana. For the open slots, Critical Hit Chance, Cooldown Reduction and a Socket are the usual picks.
What the Stone Is Usually Worn With
It often shares your jewelry with Squirt's Necklace and the Ring of Royal Grandeur, while Goldwrap, Warzechian Armguards, In-geom and Captain Crimson's Silk Girdle regularly appear in the same gear. The flavor text fits the ring's reputation: it is worth far more than its looks suggest, and men have given much to own it.
