Draining Life in Passing

Bul-Kathos's Wedding Band continuously drains life from the enemies around you simply because they are near. Every melee scrum becomes a passive heal source that ticks away without any input from you - a welcome backstop for characters who fight in the thick of it anyway.

Because the effect requires no specific class, the ring suits a broad range of melee-oriented builds that like being surrounded by foes. The added critical hit damage also makes it offensively appealing. My tip: play deliberately aggressive and plant yourself in the middle of dense enemy groups - the more foes around you, the harder the life drain ticks and the more reliably it keeps you alive while you strike.

A power without a roll range

The power text names neither a radius nor an amount and has no roll range, so every Wedding Band drains the same amount of life, whether it is a regular, Ancient or Primal Ancient copy. When comparing two rings you can ignore the power entirely and look only at the other properties. Since the power is not tied to a class, the ring suits any character who can use the passive healing.

What to check on the roll

The ring has a fixed 26–50% Critical Hit Damage. That range is wide, so a copy at the top end gives almost twice as much as one at the bottom, and Primal Ancient rings always sit at the full 50.0%. It also rolls 416–500 Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence, where you want your class's main stat. The Mystic can reroll a weak property, and followers can wear the ring too.
