"Let fear strike my enemies in the moment of their greatest weakness. Let their suffering embalm them as death comes." —Passage from the Prayer of Briggs
Curse and Gather in One
Briggs' Wrath fundamentally changes how curses feel for the Necromancer. Hit a not-yet-cursed enemy with a curse and they are pulled to the target location. A pure debuff tool becomes a gathering machine that scoops scattered foes into a tidy pile.
That supports any build benefiting from clustered enemies - powerful area skills, for instance, or effects that scale with the number of targets hit. In chaotic Greater Rifts especially, the pull makes for far cleaner and faster clearing. My tip: deliberately throw your curse where you want to unload your main damage and actively drag enemies into your deadliest zone - that turns the handy gathering effect into genuine extra damage.
Why "uncursed" is the key word
The pull only affects enemies that carry no curse when it lands. Anything already cursed stays where it is if you curse the same area again. The best moment to cast is therefore first contact with a fresh group: every newcomer ends up on a single point, while a second curse on an already bunched pack gathers nothing further.
The power has no roll range and works identically on every copy, so what you judge a ring by is its properties.
Properties and the jewelry slot in the cube
Critical Hit Chance Increased by 4.5–6% is fixed, and a primary attribute rolls at 416–500 - as a Necromancer you need Intelligence. On a ring you also want Critical Hit Damage, a Socket, Cooldown Reduction and Area Damage; the last one in particular pays off against enemies packed tightly together.
The power can also be activated in the jewelry slot of Kanai's Cube when both ring slots are reserved for other powers. Briggs' Wrath is often combined with Steuart's Greaves, Krysbin's Sentence, Haunted Visions, Scythe of the Cycle, Iron Rose and Bloodtide Blade.
The flavor text quotes the Prayer of Briggs, asking that fear strike enemies in their moment of greatest weakness - fitting for a ring that turns curses into a trap.
