Gameplay

The configuration

This setup is stored as a complete build — gear, skills, runes and all four cube slots work together and are not assembled from individual statistics.

  • Set: Trag'Oul's Avatar
  • Rating: tier S across all classes
  • Kanai's Cube: Bloodtide Blade, Mantle of Channeling, Ring of Royal Grandeur, Scythe of the Cycle
  • Skills: Siphon Blood, Death Nova (Blight), Bone Armor (Limited Immunity), Frailty (Scent of Blood), Blood Rush, Simulacrum (Blood Debt)
  • Passives: Spreading Malediction, Stand Alone, Swift Harvesting, Final Service
  • Variants available: GR push, Speed farming, Torment 16 / Nephalem rifts
Use the variant switcher above to move between the versions. What changes between them is spelled out below — read it before you rebuild.

What the set does

This build wears Trag'Oul's Avatar. These bonuses apply once the matching number of set pieces is equipped — the damage multiplier hangs on them, not on the individual stats of the pieces:

  • 2 pieces: Blood Rush and Siphon Blood gain the effect of every rune. Your Life-spending abilities no longer cost Essence.
  • 4 pieces: While at full Life, your healing from skills is added to your maximum Life for 45 seconds, up to 300% more.
  • 6 pieces: Your Life-spending abilities deal 10,000% increased damage and your healing from skills is increased by 100%.

How the variants differ

Measured against the push version. Anything not listed here stays the same:

  • Speed farming: swaps in skills Frailty (Early Grave); cube Steuart's Greaves; gems Bane of the Powerful.
  • Torment 16 / Nephalem rifts: swaps in skills Frailty (Early Grave); cube Steuart's Greaves; gems Bane of the Powerful, Boon of the Hoarder.

Sockets and gems

The 3 legendary gems (Bane of the Stricken, Bane of the Trapped, Zei's Stone of Vengeance) belong in the jewellery slots — that is the only place their rank counts, and the only place they keep growing when you upgrade after a Greater Rift.

The remaining 6 sockets are filled with Topaz: the multiplier already comes from the set and the legendary powers, so one more base stat does more there than another effect would.

On the season theme

Shades of the Nephalem spawns a shadow clone of your class at every shrine and pylon that fights along for one minute. Activate shrines inside the pull, not on the way there. The fourth cube slot is already filled in every variant above.
