A Guaranteed Critical Hit

Broken Promises tips the odds in your favor: land five hits in a row without a critical hit and your critical hit chance is cranked to a full hundred percent for a few seconds. A streak of bad luck reliably turns into a phase of guaranteed crits - a mechanism that fires surprisingly often, especially at low base chance.

That is why the ring fits across classes into builds that benefit heavily from critical hit damage but deliberately forgo high critical hit chance. The added resource savings are a nice bonus on top. My tip: keep your critical hit chance low enough that the five-hit condition triggers regularly - paradoxically, too much hit chance makes this effect rarer and weakens its value.

The rhythm of the power

The power's numbers are fixed: 5 consecutive non-critical hits, then 3 seconds of 100% Critical Hit Chance. There is no roll range. That creates a set cycle: during those 3 seconds every hit is critical, so the counter for the next trigger cannot grow in that time. Only afterwards do you collect another 5 non-critical hits. How fast that happens depends on how many hits you land per second - quick attacks with many separate hits fill the condition much sooner than slow, heavy blows.

Cheaper resources and the main stat

A reduction of all resource costs by 5.0 to 8.0% is built in; a Primal Ancient has the full 8.0% here. On top comes Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence at 416 to 500 points - make sure it matches your class. Neither the power nor the ring is tied to a class. If a secondary stat does not fit, the Mystic can re-enchant exactly one of them.
