The slow keeps enemy groups in place so your following spiders and other spells land reliably, while the high damage bonus provides genuine killing pressure. The dagger is the heart of any Corpse Spider build. My tip: throw your spiders into the middle of dense packs so the webs overlap and the slowed enemies collapse in a cluster under the concentrated damage of your crawlers.
