This ceremonial dagger pushes Grasp of the Dead to another level: it directly boosts the skill's damage and on top of that grants it the effect of the Death Nova rune. That lets you pair the slowing field on the ground with raining corpses without ever having to slot the rune yourself.

For the Witch Doctor this frees up a rune choice while still delivering the full effect, opening a real damage window. It shines in a setup that pins enemies in one spot, so the slow and the impact keep landing on the same targets. Practical tip: drop the field at chokepoints or into tightly packed mobs, so the ground damage and the falling corpses overlap on the same crowd.
