The Anessazi Edge makes your Zombie Dogs briefly stun all enemies around them when summoned. For the Witch Doctor this means reliable crowd control you can trigger anytime by re-summoning. It opens defensive synergies, for example with items that benefit from stunned enemies, or simply breathing room in dense fights.

Since the effect is tied to summoning, you want to recall your dogs frequently, which pairs well with builds that already lean on summons. As a ceremonial dagger the power is weapon-bound, so you must wield the blade. Combined with stun-dependent bracers or damage scaling, it becomes a solid control and protection package.
