Curses as a Protective Shield
Dayntee's Binding rewards the Necromancer for cursing: while an enemy is affected by one of your curses, you gain a substantial extra damage reduction. Since curses are already a core tool of the class, this belt quietly turns your offensive debuff mechanic into a strong defensive pillar - you deal damage while standing far more sturdily in the fight.
The belt is a cornerstone of many Necromancer builds, because the damage reduction is easy to maintain with minimal effort. Make sure at least one enemy near you stays cursed at all times - through a curse with long range or quick application, for instance. That keeps the defensive bonus active continuously and lets you survive the high damage spikes of deeper Greater Rifts.
What the Condition Actually Asks For
The power does not care how many enemies are cursed or which one you are attacking: a single enemy carrying one of your curses is enough to switch on the extra damage reduction. The flip side is that it disappears as soon as the last cursed enemy dies or the curse runs out - for example between two packs. Land your first curse before the fight really starts.
The 40–50% range is the strength of the reduction, so a high roll is clearly better. A Primal Ancient copy delivers the full 50%.
Belt Slot or Cube
The belt has no fixed affixes, so every stat is open. Next to +416–500 Intelligence, Vitality, Life %, Armor and resistances such as Arcane Resistance are worth chasing. The power also fits the armor slot of Kanai's Cube, which frees your waist for a different belt.
The Binding is often worn with Krysbin's Sentence, Convention of Elements, Haunted Visions and either Scythe of the Cycle or Reilena's Shadowhook. The Aquila Cuirass frequently shows up alongside it too - both pieces tie their damage reduction to a condition, a cursed enemy here and a full resource there. The flavor text keeps it short: the belt was once worn by a steadfast soul with a taste for victory.
