“These look to be of Sescheron origin to me. Strange though - when others use them, they are nothing special. When you use them, well...” — Haedrig

Healing Through Primary Skills

These bracers let your Primary skills heal back part of your missing Life – for the Barbarian, a noticeable, continuous self-heal in combat. Since Primary skills are constantly in use as resource generators in many builds anyway, the healing effect fits seamlessly into your combat rhythm.

The strength lies in reliability: as long as you keep attacking, you regenerate, which helps you against sustained pressure and attrition damage. On top of that come Critical Hit Chance and one of the three main attributes. Tip: Keep a Primary skill firmly in your rotation, especially in builds that otherwise bring little healing of their own – that way every generator swing doubles as a sip of Life.

Missing Life as the yardstick

One detail in the power text is key: it heals a share of your missing Life, not your maximum. When you're nearly full, the heal does almost nothing; the lower your life bar sinks, the bigger each heal becomes. So the bracers act as a safety net that pulls hardest in dicey moments. The roll range is 5.0 to 6.0%; the 5.5% example is a middle roll, and a Primal Ancient gets 6.0%.

Which skills heal

This means the Barbarian's Primary skills, i.e. his generators - Weapon Throw, for example. If you use your generator constantly anyway, you heal with no extra effort. If your Primary skill is also a damage source, Simplicity's Strength is a gem that boosts exactly these skills.

Stats and background

Every copy carries 4.5–6% Critical Hit Chance; for the main stat, a Barbarian takes Strength at 416 to 500 points.

The flavor text comes from Haedrig: the bracers look to be of Sescheron origin, and strangely enough, they are nothing special when others use them - but when you use them, well... A wry nod to the fact that the power only works for the Barbarian.
