Akkhan's Manacles boost the first hit of Blessed Shield with a massive damage increase. Since the shield bounces from enemy to enemy, the primary target of each throw benefits the most, which adds up to considerable single-target damage over repeated throws. The effect is Crusader-only and complements any 'Blessed Shield' build.

Combined with items that raise the shield's damage or bounce count, it creates strong burst against bosses and elites. As bracers, the power can't be cubed and must be worn on your body. Also stack critical hit chance to make that empowered first strike land even harder.
