Bracers Built for the Skeleton Army
Bonds of C'Lena are a clear statement for Necromancers who lean on Army of the Dead. The bracers boost that skill's damage considerably and then push even further when you have tagged enemies with Command Skeletons first. The bonus is doubled against those exact targets, turning the two skills into a natural pairing.
This makes them feel right at home in a skeleton-centric build: send your warriors onto a boss or an elite pack, let them lock onto the target, then unleash Army of the Dead for the maximum multiplier. My tip: keep your skeletons disciplined on a single main target rather than letting them wander freely - that is the only way to reliably collect the doubled damage.
The Bonus in Numbers
The Army of the Dead damage bonus rolls in the 75–100% range and doubles against the active target of Command Skeletons. A Primal Ancient pair therefore brings 100% against regular targets and twice that against the commanded one. Since Army of the Dead has a 120 second cooldown, every single cast counts, so always issue the command before the army.
Runes That Suit the Command Target
For Army of the Dead, the runes decide whether the doubled bonus applies. Unconventional Warfare attacks random targets for 50,000% total weapon damage over 4 seconds, and the doubled bonus only counts when those hits land on the commanded target. The base version hits all enemies within 15 yards of the target area, while Dead Storm costs 20% health and rages around you. On Command Skeletons, Freezing Grasp freezes the target for 3 seconds, Frenzy gives the skeletons 25% attack speed, and Enforcer lowers the cost from 50 to 25 Essence.
Rolls and Pairings
Critical hit chance at 4.5–6% is fixed, and the main stat rolls at 416–500; a Necromancer needs Intelligence. Because Army of the Dead deals Physical damage in its base form, Physical makes sense as the elemental bonus, alongside Vitality. It is often combined with Rathma's Ribcage Plate, Skull Helm, Spikes, Macabre Vambraces and Ossified Sabatons plus Captain Crimson's Thrust. The flavor text describes a Necromancer whose dark pupils and wry smile reflect the skeletons he raises to serve the Balance.
