These bracers turn hits taken into retribution: when you get struck, there's a chance you deal a large multiple of your Thorns damage to nearby enemies. Since the bracers also add a flat chunk of Thorns, this counterattack scales directly with your Thorns stat and practically rewards you for standing in the thick of the fight.

The Sanguinary Vambraces are a cornerstone of any Thorns build, above all on the Crusader, who already draws damage from Thorns rather than conventional skills. My tip: stack your Thorns damage as high as you can and deliberately position yourself in the middle of dense packs, because the more blows that land on you, the more often the area burst triggers and the more foes it cuts down at once.
