When it rains, it crashes.
A Beast Falls From the Sky
Crashing Rain expands the Demon Hunter's Rain of Vengeance with a hefty extra strike: on top of your usual bombardment, a beast crashes down from the sky and deals significant weapon damage in an area. That turns an already strong area skill into an even more devastating tool against dense enemy groups.
The belt is clearly tailored to Rain of Vengeance builds that deal damage through regular area attacks. Place your Rain of Vengeance where enemies cluster so the falling beast catches as many targets as possible at once. Keep the rain flowing in your rotation, since every cast brings another beast impact and a noticeable boost to your overall damage.
Roll and cooldown
The beast deals 3,000–4,000% weapon damage; a copy at 3049% sits at the bottom edge, and a Primal Ancient delivers the full 4000%. For comparison, Rain of Vengeance itself deals 1500% weapon damage over 5 seconds without a rune. The beast arrives once per cast, and Rain of Vengeance has a 30-second cooldown - so any Cooldown Reduction also brings you more beasts.
Runes for Rain of Vengeance
- Anathema summons a Shadow Beast that drops grenades over 2 seconds for 5800% weapon damage as Fire.
- Stampede sends 10 Shadow Beasts tearing across the ground, knocking enemies back.
- Flying Strike has 8 Shadow Beasts plummet down with Cold damage, freezing enemies for 2 seconds.
- Dark Cloud launches guided arrows over 8 seconds, while Shade turns the volley into Lightning.
Stats and background
Every copy carries Vitality at 416 to 500 points, plus a main stat in the same range - Dexterity for a Demon Hunter.
The flavor text is a pun: the English line reads "When it rains, it crashes", while the German version warns of heavy downpours like a weather forecast - and crashing down is exactly what the beast does.
