Kyoshiro felt a great calm come over him after the battle at Xiansai. He closed his eyes and it felt like nothing changed at all.

Kyoshiro's Soul

This belt boosts the Monk's Sweeping Wind while solving its biggest problem at once: as long as the skill is not hitting any enemy, it automatically builds stacks instead of gathering them only through dealing damage as usual. That keeps the vortex fully charged even during idle moments or while moving between packs.

This makes the belt the foundation of Sweeping Wind builds that depend on consistently high stacks to sustain their area damage. The extra damage bonus lifts this playstyle's output further. Practical tip: activate Sweeping Wind before combat and while crossing empty areas, so you charge into the next pack with full stacks and immediately unleash maximum damage there.

Two stacks per second - and the 6-second limit

The power itself is fixed: 2 stacks for every second the vortex deals no damage. Keep the skill's basic rule in mind, though - the vortex lasts 6 seconds and is only refreshed by a melee hit. So activate it shortly before the next pack, not halfway down a long corridor, or it will expire before you arrive. Without further help, the vortex caps at 3 stacks; with Vengeful Wind, which raises that cap by 10, pre-stacking pays off far more.

Where the roll sits

Here the roll range isn't in the power but in the fixed property: Sweeping Wind deals 100–125% more damage. A Primal Ancient delivers the full 125%. For the main stat, a Monk takes Dexterity at 416 to 500 points. Among the runes, Blade Storm gains the most from many stacks because it raises the damage per stack to 145%; Inner Storm grants 8 Spirit per second from 3 stacks up.

The calm after the battle

The flavor text continues the story from Kyoshiro's Blade: after the battle at Xiansai, a great calm came over Kyoshiro. He closed his eyes, and it felt as if nothing had changed at all - a quiet moment that suits a belt that does its work in the pauses between fights.
