This shield rewards persistence with Sweep Attack: every enemy hit raises the damage of your next Sweep Attack, and the effect stacks several times over. Catch a wide pack and you quickly charge the following swing up to its full bonus.

For the Crusader this is the backbone of a Sweep Attack build where you move from pack to pack keeping the stacks high. Since the shield also rolls all three primary stats, it fits both defensive and offensive setups with ease. Practical tip: keep the stacks alive by sweeping into dense groups regularly – break the rhythm and the bonus drops, forcing you to rebuild from scratch. Steady swings through plenty of targets keep you at the maximum.
