Life and damage are multipliers relative to Normal (×1). The bar shows monster life on a logarithmic scale.

How to read the table

Life and damage are multipliers relative to Normal. Torment I shows a life factor of 8.192, so monsters there have a little over eight times their Normal life, while their damage sits just under four times higher at 3.96. Gold and XP work differently: they are general bonuses for that difficulty. A value of 0.75 on Hard means +75%, and 16 on Torment VI means +1,600%.

Monster life grows in two phases

Up to Torment VI, life climbs at a steady rate. After the jump from Normal to Hard (×2), each step multiplies the previous value by 1.6, which puts Torment VI at 85.9 times Normal. From Torment VII on, the pattern changes and every step more than doubles monster life (×2.19; Torment VI to VII is ×2.21). One step breaks the pattern: going from Torment XIII to XIV only adds a factor of 1.37. Torment XVI ends up at 138,887.7 times the Normal value.

Damage rises more slowly

Monster damage goes up ×1.3 from Normal to Hard, then ×1.45 per step through Torment VI and roughly ×1.41 per step after that. The smallest increase sits right at the top: Torment XV to XVI adds only ×1.12 damage, while life more than doubles in the same step (×2.19). Torment XVI therefore pairs about 647 times Normal damage with 138,887.7 times Normal life. On the high end, the life column is the one to watch: it tells you how much you have to chew through, and it grows far faster than the damage monsters deal.

Through Torment VI, the gold and XP bonuses are identical. They split at Torment VII, which gives +1,850% gold and +1,900% XP, and by Torment XVI the gap has grown to +7,000% gold versus +17,000% XP. At the top, the XP bonus is roughly 2.4 times the gold bonus.

If you want to place a Greater Rift level on this scale, the Greater Rift table does that for every level. As a quick reference: Torment XIV, XV and XVI share their exact life factor with Greater Rift levels 65, 70 and 75.
