Shared Pain, Doubled Protection

This ring splits all damage you take evenly between everyone wearing the item. The key trick: put a second Unity ring on an immortal follower or a second character and the damage you personally take is effectively halved, a huge, class-independent survival boost. On top of that you get elite damage, crit chance, and one of the three main stats.

In solo play especially, running two Unity rings (you and your follower) is one of the most reliable ways to slash your incoming damage. Tip: for the split to truly help, the second wearer must stay invulnerable, otherwise you are sharing damage with someone who also dies. Gear your follower accordingly so the protection holds.

Unity in the Cube or on Your Finger

Unity's damage split can be activated in the jewelry slot of Kanai's Cube. That way it costs you no ring slot, and both fingers stay free for other legendary rings. If you wear Unity yourself instead, you also get its fixed stats: 4.5–6% critical hit chance and 12–15% increased damage against elites. The second copy goes on your follower, whose ring slots accept Unity without restriction.

What to Look for on Your Own Copy

The random main stat rolls as Dexterity, Intelligence or Strength at 416–500; take the one your class uses. A socket, critical hit damage and cooldown reduction are the other rolls worth chasing. If the elite bonus comes in low, the Mystic can replace exactly that value so you keep your socket and crit stats. A Primal Ancient ring has every value at the top of its range, including 15.0% damage against elites.

Unity frequently shows up next to Convention of Elements, Squirt's Necklace, Aquila Cuirass, Stone Gauntlets, Ice Climbers and the leg piece of Blackthorne's Jousting Mail.

A Peace Token That Hits Hard

According to its flavor text, the ring stands for peace, love and togetherness for all mankind, and it is also handy for leaving an imprint on someone's head. That wink suits the power well: togetherness here means that several wearers absorb the hits as a group.
