Pool of the item type from the game files, version 2.8.0. Skill damage bonuses only carry weight for their class. All properties of this slot

Fit for royalty, this helm enhances whoever wears it, while quietly diminishing everyone else. Ideal for large gatherings.

Cheaper skills as a reward for dodging

Pride's Fall rewards careful play: if you take no damage for several seconds, your resource costs drop drastically. During this phase you can fire off your most expensive skills almost unhindered without worrying about empty resource bars — a huge boost for any resource-hungry build.

The helm works regardless of class and shines especially with mobile playstyles that skillfully dodge enemy damage rather than soak it. The appeal lies in staying unhit as long as possible. Tip: Deliberately play at range or actively dodge to reach and hold the damage-free window — once the cost reduction kicks in, it pays to unleash your strongest and most expensive attacks in a burst before the next hit throws you back to normal costs.

How the damage-free window works

The condition is clear-cut: 5 seconds without taking damage, and then your resource costs drop by 30%. The power has no roll range - every copy delivers the same 30%. True to its name, the advantage ends the moment a hit lands, and the timer starts over. The helm therefore earns its place where you keep enemies at a distance or reliably avoid attacks; in a melee brawl where damage keeps coming in, it does next to nothing.

Stats on the helm

Every copy has 626 to 750 Vitality and 4.5 to 6% Critical Hit Chance. The random stat is Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence at 626 to 750 points, so check that it matches your class. Beyond that you want a socket and a damage bonus for your main skill, for example Arcane Orb, Energy Twister or Meteor. If one of those is missing, the Mystic can re-enchant one stat.

In the cube or on your head

You can also draw the helm's cost discount from the armor slot of Kanai's Cube. That leaves your head slot open for another helm whose power you need more urgently on your body. Pride's Fall is often combined with Squirt's Necklace, Halo of Karini, Warzechian Armguards, Goldwrap, the Stone of Jordan and Convention of Elements.

The flavor text calls it a helm fit for royalty: it lifts up whoever wears it while quietly diminishing everyone around them.
