Amplified Gem Effect

Leoric's Crown lifts the socketed gem to a higher level and boosts its effect substantially – though legendary gems are excluded. That turns the helm into a multiplier for ordinary socketed stones and gives any class a flexible way to massively upgrade one chosen stat.

The crown is class-neutral and fits anywhere a socketed-gem effect matters. Slot a diamond and your cooldowns shrink; a ruby boosts your bonus experience, an amethyst your life. Tip: Decide which ordinary gem benefits your build most and put exactly that one in the crown – this extracts the maximum amplified bonus, rather than wasting a legendary gem that gains nothing here.

How much the roll matters

The amplification rolls between 75 and 100%. At the top roll the gem's effect is doubled; at the bottom you still get three quarters on top. Since the crown upgrades just this one stone, every percentage point feeds straight into the bonus you picked, and Primal Ancient copies always come with the full 100%. The socket is built in, so you never have to add it yourself.

Stats and common companions

Besides the socket, the crown rolls 626–750 Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence. On the head slot, Critical Hit Chance and Vitality are natural additions, along with a resistance such as Poison Resistance; the Mystic can swap out a weak stat. The power can also be extracted into Kanai's Cube, where it takes the armor slot.

The crown is often worn together with Aquila Cuirass, Stone Gauntlets, Blackthorne's Jousting Mail, Squirt's Necklace, Convention of Elements and Goldwrap.
