Pool of the item type from the game files, version 2.8.0. Skill damage bonuses only carry weight for their class. All properties of this slot
Crafted by a mad sorcerer during his long imprisonment within the bitter labyrinths of the Black Obelisk of Vyr.
An ally from the ranks of the Fallen
The Nagelring summons a Fallen Lunatic at regular intervals to fight at your side. This little companion draws attention, deals extra damage, and adds some movement to the encounter, a pleasant bonus that works regardless of class and fits into virtually any setup.
Because the effect triggers automatically and costs no resources, the ring suits players who want a bit of extra pressure on the side without reworking their rotation. If it rolls Magic Find instead of a main stat, that also makes it attractive on pure loot runs. Tip: Stay in the fight rather than constantly running ahead, since your summoned Fallen only contributes noticeably when it actually reaches the target and lands its hits.
An Interval as the Roll Range
The power does not roll as a percentage but as the gap between two summons: 10–12 seconds. Here the lower end is the better one, since 10 seconds means a fresh Lunatic at your side more often than 12. The summon happens without any input from you; you cast no skill and spend no resource. The power does not state how hard the Lunatic hits or how long it stays.
Main Stat or Magic Find
The ring rolls exactly one random property from four options: Dexterity, Intelligence or Strength at 416–500, or a 25–50% better chance of finding magical items. One rules out the other. For combat, take your class's main stat; for pure loot runs, Magic Find. The Mystic can enchant that single property anew if your copy rolled the wrong way. Since the ring also fits follower slots, you can hand it to your follower if you need your own ring slot for something else.
From the Black Obelisk of Vyr
The flavor text explains its origin: a mad sorcerer crafted the ring during his long imprisonment within the bitter labyrinths of the Black Obelisk of Vyr. The Fallen Lunatic it summons fits that origin well.
