This fist weapon boosts the Monk's Wave of Light and gives the skill a clever targeting mechanic: if the first impact hits only a few enemies, the damage turns out considerably higher. The blade thus rewards precise single-target or narrow-front hits on top of the already increased base damage.

This makes the weapon a fit for Wave of Light builds that want to switch between area pressure and concentrated single-target damage against bosses or elites. The tiered bonus makes it especially valuable in boss fights. Practical tip: aim the wave so its first hit catches only the boss or a few enemies rather than sweeping through a whole pack, in order to trigger the higher damage bonus, and switch your orientation deliberately depending on the situation.
