Pool of the item type from the game files, version 2.8.0. Skill damage bonuses only carry weight for their class. All properties of this slot

The great merchant Abd al-Kymbo commissioned this amulet, believing that health and wealth should be synonymous. Alas, he did not realize how much time he would spend on his knees picking up single coins, and soon abandoned the practice.

Kymbo's Gold

This amulet ties your health to your purse: every piece of gold you pick up heals you for the same amount. Combined with the amulet's optional gold-find roll (it replaces the main stat), every step across the battlefield becomes a steady source of healing.

Because the effect has no class restriction, the amulet suits any class that collects a lot of gold or deliberately leans on gold-find mechanics. It becomes especially strong with effects that automatically attract gold, so the healing essentially happens as you move. Practical tip: pair the amulet with items or skills that pull gold toward you automatically, so you do not have to actively walk over every coin and the healing stays reliable and high without detours.

Gold or main stat - a real trade-off

The amulet's random stat is one of four options: Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence at 626 to 750 points each - or 75 to 100% Extra Gold from Monsters. Since the power heals for exactly the amount of gold picked up, the gold bonus directly boosts the healing: more gold per pickup means more Life per pickup. In exchange you give up the main stat and with it some damage. Which copy is better therefore depends on whether you wear the amulet for survival or as incidental healing.

What the power requires

The healing only happens on pickup. If no gold lies on the ground, or you walk past it, the amulet does not heal. The power has no roll range; even a Primal Ancient copy leaves it unchanged and only pushes the chosen main stat or gold bonus to the maximum. The power is not tied to any class.

A merchant on his knees

The flavor text tells of Abd al-Kymbo, a great merchant who commissioned the amulet believing that health and wealth should be synonymous. What he did not foresee was how much time he would spend on his knees picking up single coins. He soon abandoned the practice - a wry hint at why effects that pull gold toward you suit this amulet so well.
