The Incense Torch of the Grand Temple is a Daibo that upgrades the Monk skill Wave of Light twice over: it lowers its Spirit cost while massively raising its damage. That transforms the holy wave from an expensive occasional cast into a sustainable main attack which, thanks to the reduced cost, you can fire far more often and continuously. For Monk builds centered on Wave of Light, the staff is the defining piece of gear.

Since Wave of Light deals holy damage, it pays to align your entire kit with the Holy element so all damage bonuses multiply. My tip: build your Spirit regeneration so that you can spam the skill practically nonstop, because only a constant flow of holy waves unleashes this Daibo's full damage potential.
