The daibo Balance massively boosts the damage of Wave of Light and even guarantees the skill a critical hit, as long as it strikes no more than three enemies at once. For the Monk this rewards focused single-target or small-group play: against bosses and lone elites, you turn 'Wave of Light' into a reliable, hard-hitting damage source with full crit chance.

Against large groups, however, the crit bonus falls away, so you deliberately target boss fights and isolated enemies. Since the power is weapon-bound, you wield the daibo directly. Combine it with items that boost 'Wave of Light' or critical hit damage to convert the guaranteed hit into maximum burst.
