Immobilization as a control tool

The Hellrack is a crossbow that occasionally adds a control effect to your hits: struck enemies are sometimes left unable to move. That buys you valuable seconds in which foes stand still while you deal damage undisturbed or reposition. For ranged builds that fire constantly, this passive brake is a welcome safety net against charging crowds.

Because the effect triggers randomly on your already frequent hits, the crossbow pairs especially well with fast-firing builds: the more shots you loose, the more often a group freezes in place. Use those control windows deliberately to lock down dangerous elites mid-charge or to carve out breathing room, rather than blindly firing on. That turns raw firepower into genuine battlefield control.
