Previously thought to be too large and cumbersome to be wielded by hand, the Buriza-Do Kyanon is handled by the superior warrior with ease.

Arrows That Simply Keep Flying

The Buriza-Do Kyanon is a crossbow for Demon Hunters who take piercing literally: your projectiles pierce their targets two extra times, striking several lined-up enemies with a single shot. A straight shot becomes a whole chain of hits across the front line.

That is why this weapon shines in builds with straight-flying projectiles that benefit from aligned enemies. The added chance to freeze foes conveniently holds groups in a neat line. My tip: position yourself so as many enemies as possible stand one behind the other between you and your target before firing - every pierced row multiplies the value of a single arrow and turns narrow corridors into your ideal stage.

One or two extra pierces

The tooltip shows 2 additional pierces, but the power's roll range is 1–2. Unlike percentage values, there are only two possible outcomes here - and the difference is big: with the high roll, every projectile passes through one more enemy. Check this number first on every drop. A primal ancient copy carries the full count automatically.

The power applies to your projectiles in general and is restricted to the Demon Hunter.

Fixed stats and the random property

+(981–1,199)–(1,175–1,490) Cold Damage and a 7.5–10% Chance to Freeze on Hit are built in. Because a piercing projectile hits several enemies, each of them gets its own chance to be frozen. The two-handed crossbow brings 779-945 base damage at 1.10 attacks per second; the Cold damage carries the larger share of its weapon damage.

The random property is Dexterity or Intelligence at 626–750. For a Demon Hunter only Dexterity counts - a copy with Intelligence is a clear case for the Mystic.

The underestimated crossbow

According to the flavor text, the Buriza-Do Kyanon was long thought too large and cumbersome to be wielded by hand. A superior warrior, however, handles it with ease.
