This two-handed flail is tailored to the Crusader's Sweep Attack: it makes the skill generate Wrath per enemy hit and strike considerably harder. That solves the biggest problem of many Sweep Attack builds, namely their resource hunger, turning an already cheap skill into a self-sustaining damage engine that flourishes in dense packs.

For a Sweep Attack-centered Crusader build the weapon is therefore a genuine cornerstone. Practical tip: deliberately seek out large clusters of enemies, because the more targets your Sweep Attack hits, the more Wrath you generate and the more uninterrupted your damage stays, without depending on other Wrath sources.
