Akkhan's Addendum grants Akarat's Champion the effects of both the Prophet and Embodiment of Power runes at once. You combine the longer duration and self-revive of 'Prophet' with the resource and cooldown benefit of 'Embodiment of Power', without having to pick just one rune. For Crusaders this is the foundation for keeping the buff active almost permanently.

That makes this two-handed flail the centerpiece of Akarat's Champion builds that aim for full uptime on their big transformation. Since the power is bound to the weapon, the flail belongs in your hand; you can then spend your freed rune choice on pure damage or utility.
