This spear boosts two of the Barbarian's throwing skills: both Weapon Throw and Ancient Spear now deal noticeably more damage. That turns the Barbarian's often-neglected ranged options into a serious damage source, letting you dish it out from a safe distance.

Especially in builds that favor thrown weapons over classic melee, this weapon is the foundation. It opens up a playstyle that blends mobility and range with high pressure. My tip: pair the spear with Fury generation and attack speed so you can fire your throws nonstop, and deliberately stay at the edge of enemy groups to fully exploit the range advantage of your throwing Barbarian.
