Arreat's Law

Arreat's Law rewards the Barbarian for using Weapon Throw on distant enemies: the farther the target you hit, the more extra Fury each throw generates, up to a fixed cap beyond a certain distance. This solves the chronic resource problem of ranged throw builds and keeps your Fury topped up even without melee.

That makes the spear perfect for 'Weapon Throw' builds operating from safe range. Since the power is weapon-bound, you wield the spear directly. Position yourself deliberately to hit enemies as far away as possible to squeeze out the maximum Fury gain and keep firing expensive skills nonstop.
