Demonic Slave and Fire Damage

This two-handed sword combines two effects: on a hit there's a chance to summon a demonic slave that fights at your side, and the weapon also noticeably boosts your fire skills. The summoned demon drags a fiery chain behind it that damages enemies in its path – an extra, mobile source of damage that appears without any effort on your part.

As a Strength weapon with a fire focus, Maximus pairs excellently with melee-oriented, fire-heavy builds – such as the Crusader or Barbarian. Tip: Fight in dense crowds with plenty of hits so the slave appears often, and position yourself so its fire chain grazes as many enemies as possible – combining your boosted fire damage with steady extra damage from the summoned beast.
