More knives with Impale
Holy Point Shot is a quiver for Demon Hunters who rely on the Impale skill: it throws two extra knives while dealing considerably more damage. That noticeably thickens your barrage of blades, working both against single targets and across broad rows. Since the quiver also brings attack speed and elemental damage bonuses, it slots seamlessly into a dedicated Impale build.
My tip: when itemizing, make sure the rolled elemental bonus matches your Impale rune, otherwise part of the potential goes to waste. Position yourself so that as many of the extra knives as possible pierce through enemies, for example by aiming at a row rather than a lone target. That way you wring the maximum number of hits and damage out of every throw.
Roll range and fixed stats
The two extra knives are the same on every quiver; only the damage bonus rolls, between 75 and 100%. A copy at 94% is already near the top, and a Primal Ancient delivers the full 100%. Also fixed are +626–750 Dexterity and 15–20% Attack Speed - stats you want on a quiver anyway.
Which rune fits which elemental bonus
The quiver rolls 15–20% more damage for skills of one element. Impale costs 20 Hatred and deals 750% weapon damage; the rune decides which element counts:
- Overpenetration pierces all enemies in a line for Cold damage - so you want the Cold bonus. This rune also fits the tip about aiming at rows best.
- Ricochet bounces to 2 more enemies within 20 yards and turns the damage into Lightning.
- Grievous Wounds makes Critical Hits deal 330% additional damage, Impact knocks back and stuns, and Chemical Burn adds a burn - without a conversion, the knife itself stays Physical.
Stats and partners
Beyond the fixed stats, look for Critical Hit Chance and Impale damage. The quiver is frequently paired with The Shadow's Mask, The Shadow's Burden, The Shadow's Bane, The Shadow's Grasp and The Shadow's Heels, as well as the dagger Karlei's Point.
The flavor text says the Wandering Priest of the Low Hills crafted the quiver during an ecstatic trance - every arrow it carries receives a blessing.
