"Marteks would not flee before their superior numbers. He knew the time of his death was at hand. He stood his ground, loosing arrow after arrow as he was slowly overwhelmed." —Tales of the Wasteland
Dead Man's Legacy
This quiver is all about Multishot: enemies already low on health get struck twice by the volley and take a hefty bonus on top. That turns your wide cone into a genuine finisher, because anything you've chipped down collapses on the very next shot.
For the Demon Hunter it's a natural fit when Multishot is your main attack and you're sweeping whole rows of foes. The extra Dexterity, attack speed and critical hit chance all reinforce a fast, hatred-hungry playstyle. Practical tip: build around something that reliably bites into and softens enemies first – companions or follow-up effects – so as many targets as possible dip below the health threshold and reap the double hit.
Two Separate Halves
The power is really two effects: the 150–200% damage bonus applies to Multishot at all times, while the double hit only triggers on enemies below 60% health. Against a fresh pack you already enjoy the bonus, and once your volleys push enemies under the line, every further shot hits them twice. A high roll clearly pays off; a Primal Ancient gives 200%.
Picking a Rune for the Quiver
Multishot costs 25 Hatred and requires a bow or crossbow. Fire at Will cuts the cost to 18 and turns the damage into Lightning. Full Broadside raises the base damage from 360% to 500% weapon damage. Arsenal fires 3 rockets with every shot for 300% weapon damage as Fire each, and Wind Chill chills enemies for 3 seconds and raises their chance to take critical hits by 8%.
Fixed Stats and Cube Slot
Dexterity at +626–750, Attack Speed at 15–20% and Critical Hit Chance at 8–10% are all fixed. That leaves room for Multishot damage, Maximum Discipline, Resource Cost Reduction and Cooldown Reduction. If you want to wear a different quiver, the power goes into the weapon slot of Kanai's Cube. The quiver is often paired with Yang's Recurve, Captain Crimson's Silk Girdle, Squirt's Necklace, the Ring of Royal Grandeur and Wraps of Clarity. The flavor text tells of Marteks, who refused to flee superior numbers and kept loosing arrows until he was overwhelmed.
