The sound of each strike instills terror in the hearts of those who hear it.

Echoing Fury

This mace keeps you in a blood frenzy: kill an enemy and the weapon throws you into frenzy, ramping up your speed so you plow through the next pack blow after blow. On top of that, each hit has a chance to strike foes with fear, briefly taking them out of the fight.

The effect rewards an aggressive, forward-pushing style where enemies keep dropping – the more kills, the higher you hold your pace. Since the mace rolls one of the three primary stats, it's usable across classes. Practical tip: seek out dense packs and work through them quickly so the frenzy never fades. Bear in mind, though, that the fear effect can scatter foes – in builds that want enemies clustered, you may want to keep an eye on that.

Reading the weapon stats

The power has no roll range, so the fixed affixes decide how good a copy is. You get +981–1,199 to 1,175–1,490 Damage, +6–10% Damage, 5–7% Attack Speed and a 10–20% Chance to Fear on Hit. In your main hand, the damage range and the percentage damage bonus matter most, because they raise your weapon damage directly. Beyond that, a socket and Cooldown Reduction are worth having, along with the main stat at 626 to 750 points - Strength or Intelligence depending on your class.

Main hand, off-hand or cube

As a one-handed weapon, Echoing Fury fits the main hand and, for classes that dual-wield, the off-hand as well. You can also activate the power in the weapon slot of Kanai's Cube. Only the frenzy carries over there, though; the fear chance belongs to the item itself and is lost. That matters because the mace is often paired with Rechel's Ring of Larceny, whose power reacts to fear. Other frequent partners are Squirt's Necklace, Ring of Royal Grandeur, Convention of Elements, Captain Crimson's Silk Girdle and Goldwrap. Your follower can wield the mace too.

The flavor text matches the fear affix: the sound of each strike is said to fill the hearts of everyone who hears it with terror.
