Unleash a torrent of power beyond your control. You no longer direct where the projectiles go, but their damage is greatly increased to 1215% weapon damage as Arcane.

Arcane Torrent damage is increased by 640% weapon damage every second, up to a maximum total of 2495% weapon damage as Arcane.
Arcane Mines

Lay Arcane mines that arm after 2 seconds. These mines explode when an enemy approaches, dealing 825% weapon damage as Arcane. Enemies caught in the explosion have their movement and attack speeds reduced by 60% for 3 seconds.

Enemies hit by Arcane Torrent have a 12.5% chance to fire a new missile at a nearby enemy dealing 582% weapon damage as Arcane.

The proc coefficient scales the chance of on-hit effects (e.g. legendary powers, gems, Life per Hit) for each hit of the skill. Game files, version 2.8.0.

Arcane Torrent

Arcane Torrent is a channeled spender that rains a continuous salvo of arcane missiles onto an area. Its signature is the ramp: the longer you channel, the more the damage climbs toward a cap, so the spell rewards uninterrupted fire on a fixed target or a stationary group.

The runes change its behavior and risk substantially. Death Blossom delivers the highest output but takes away your control over the missiles' trajectory, trading precision for raw power. If you lean toward survival, Flame Ward is valuable: while channeling you increasingly reduce incoming damage and convert the spell to fire, which secures stand-and-deliver damage on bosses. For more spread, Static Discharge generates extra bolts. Arcane Torrent is thus a DPS anchor whose rune balances maximum damage against defensive staying power.

Runes and ramp-up time

Arcane Torrent unlocks at level 12. Damage starts at 400% weapon damage and rises by 305% per second up to 1010%, so the cap is reached after 2 seconds of channeling. Death Blossom (level 25) keeps the same pace at a higher level: 1215% at the start, plus 640% per second up to 2495%, but without aiming. Flame Ward (level 18) reduces damage taken from attacks from 15% up to 25% over time, and Arcane Mines (level 34) lays mines dealing 825% weapon damage that slow by 60% for 3 seconds. Static Discharge (level 49) splits each missile into 2 piercing bolts, while Cascade (level 57) has a 12.5% chance to fire an extra missile. Flame Ward and Static Discharge are equally common in practice.

Items and Delsere's Magnum Opus

Deathwish raises all damage by 250–325% once you have channeled for at least 1 second. Hergbrash's Binding cuts the cost by 50–65%, and Mantle of Channeling grants 20–25% damage plus 25% damage reduction while channeling. The source Etched Sigil casts an Energy Twister every second during the channel. With Delsere's Magnum Opus, Arcane Torrent hits cast Slow Time, and the 6-piece bonus raises its damage against affected enemies by 20,000%.

Energy Twister often joins because of the Sigil, alongside Storm Armor, Magic Weapon, Teleport, Audacity and Galvanizing Ward.
