The Staff of Chiroptera is a specialized Witch Doctor weapon for anyone built around Firebats: it makes them attack faster, sharply lowers their mana cost, and boosts their damage considerably on top. So the staff turns a resource-hungry skill into a smooth, channeled damage machine that no longer stalls on empty mana.

For a Firebats build this staff is practically essential, because it solves three of the skill's bottlenecks at once - speed, cost, and damage. Tip: complement it with further mana-regeneration sources so you can channel the bats almost continuously and exploit their boosted damage fully. Without this staff, a Firebats build quickly feels sluggish and mana-starved.
