Resources From Every Kill

Burst of Wrath rewards you for cleaning up: kill enemies or destroy objects and there is a chance a solid portion of your primary resource is refunded. The simple act of clearing foes becomes a steady wellspring of energy that keeps your resource economy running.

Because the two-handed axe can roll any one of the three main stats, it works across classes and fits especially well with builds that unload resource-hungry skills into dense enemy groups. Anyone constantly mowing down mobs barely has to worry about empty resource bars. My tip: use the axe in environments full of small enemies and destructible objects - the more kills and hits you land, the more often the refund fires and the more freely you can cast your expensive skills.

A Closer Look at the Refund

The power's value is fixed: 20% of your maximum primary resource, with no roll range. Because the share is measured against your maximum, the same trigger returns more resource the larger your pool is. The word "primary" matters as well, since only that resource gets refilled. The power does not state the chance per kill or destroyed object, so what counts is the number of opportunities rather than a single lucky trigger.

The Two-Handed Axe's Stats

Only a socket is fixed. Two properties roll at random: a main stat from Strength, Intelligence or Dexterity at 946–1,125, and elemental damage of (1,177–1,439)–(1,410–1,788) in one of seven elements. If either does not fit your class or skills, the Mystic can enchant exactly that property anew, but only one per item, so pick the more important one. A Primal Ancient copy has both ranges at the top. As a two-handed weapon the axe occupies both hands, and followers can wield it too.
