A Reward for Patient Skeletons

The Bone Ringer is a phylactery that rewards the Necromancer for focus. The Command Skeletons damage bonus grows second by second as long as your skeletons keep hammering the same target, stacking up to sixty times. The longer a fight against a single enemy lasts, the more devastating your minions become.

That makes the phylactery ideal for boss fights and tanky elites where the stacks can build undisturbed. Against trash mobs that die fast and constantly shift, the effect barely gets going. My tip: avoid redirecting your skeletons onto new targets during the build-up - every target switch resets the stacks you painstakingly gathered and costs you valuable damage.
