Effect
Armor: 20%
All Resistances: 20%
Damage: 10%
Unwavering Will
Unwavering Will rewards you for standing still briefly: stay put for a moment and your armor, all resistances, and your damage all rise at once. That makes the passive a hybrid buff that bundles defense and offense into a single slot, as long as you don't move. It fits stationary playstyles perfectly, for example when you cast from range or dig in at a safe position and let enemies come to you.
The catch is the condition: the moment you move, you briefly lose the bonuses, so very mobile, constantly kiting builds get less out of it. A passive slot is therefore most worthwhile for position-bound setups where you stand in one spot dealing damage anyway. In those cases, Unwavering Will delivers a very strong all-around gain from just a single passive.
What the bonuses add up to
After standing still for 1.5 seconds you gain 20% Armor, 20% to all resistances and 10% damage. Two defensive stats and one damage stat in one slot is exactly what makes the passive attractive when you need protection without giving up offense. After every move it takes another 1.5 seconds until everything is back, so plan repositioning deliberately instead of taking constant small steps.
Spells that let you stand your ground
The most common partners show how to meet the condition:
- Disintegrate is a channeled beam, so while you hold it you are standing still anyway.
- Black Hole pulls scattered enemies to one spot, so you don't have to chase them.
- Frost Nova freezes nearby enemies and buys you time to stay where you are.
- Explosive Blast and Spectral Blade hit enemies at short range and reward a fixed stance in the middle of the pack.
Teleport is the counterpart: you use it to reach the next spot and rebuild the bonuses there.
When to leave it out
The passive only unlocks at level 64. If your setup runs constantly, for instance because your damage comes from movement, the effect fizzles. There a passive without a movement condition is the more dependable choice.
