Fleet Footed

Fleet Footed is about as simple as passives get: it permanently raises your movement speed. For the monk, more pace means not just shorter trips between fights, but also better dodging of ground effects and faster gathering of enemies, which is why this seemingly modest bonus can be surprisingly valuable.

The passive is best at home in speed-farm builds, where the whole point is clearing content as briskly as possible and every second of travel time counts. Builds that are constantly on the move anyway, or that benefit from effects tied to running, also draw value from it. In pure push setups, by contrast, where what matters is maximum damage and defense against a single hard target, the slot is usually needed for stronger multipliers or survival effects, so Fleet Footed sees less use there.

10% without conditions

The bonus is 10% movement speed and always applies, with no cooldown, no trigger and no weapon requirement. That sets Fleet Footed apart from speed sources tied to a condition and makes it especially predictable.

Other routes to more speed

Before spending a passive slot on it, compare the alternatives:

  • The Wind through the Reeds rune of Mantra of Salvation also grants 10% movement speed. It costs no passive slot but takes up your Mantra's rune, so its protective runes are gone.
  • The Patterns of Justice set grants 5% movement speed per Sweeping Wind stack at 2 pieces.
  • Dashing Strike covers large distances in one go with its charges, and Tempest Rush charges straight through enemy ranks.

Fleet Footed complements such dashes and sprints because it also works in the moments in between.

Handy early while leveling

Fleet Footed is yours from level 10. While leveling, when many later passives are still missing, it serves as an easy placeholder that speeds up every map.
