Effect
Heal amount is increased by 1% of your Health Globe Healing Bonus.
Wrathful
Wrathful links your resource spending directly to self-healing: every point of Wrath you spend heals you, and the value additionally benefits from your bonus to Health Globe healing. For a Crusader who constantly pumps Wrath into spenders, this creates steady healing that runs in the background with no extra button press. The higher your Wrath throughput, the more strongly this effect takes hold.
The passive is worth a slot above all in builds that churn through a lot of Wrath while also valuing sustained survival, such as tanking large packs. Anyone already investing in items that boost Health Globe healing draws extra value from the scaling. In setups with low resource consumption or plenty of other life sustain, the benefit is smaller, so it's worth looking at your playstyle.
Healing per point of Wrath
Each point of Wrath you spend heals you for 1341 Life, plus 1% of your Health Globe Healing Bonus. The healing therefore depends not on how often you cast a spender but on how much Wrath flows through it. Expensive spenders like Phalanx or Shield Bash heal more per cast than cheaper ones like Blessed Shield or Sweep Attack, but over time only the total Wrath spent counts.
When costs disappear, so does the healing
Here is a trap that is easy to miss:
- The flail Gyrfalcon's Foote removes the resource cost of Blessed Shield. No Wrath spent means no healing from Wrathful.
- The Unstoppable Force rune of Laws of Valor halves all Wrath costs for a few seconds, and in that window your healing is halved as well.
If your setup leans heavily on such cost reductions, another healing source usually yields more.
What raises your Wrath throughput
Akarat's Champion raises your Wrath regeneration while active, and Provoke instantly generates extra Wrath when it taunts. Both mean more Wrath to spend and thus more healing. The passive is available from level 30.
