Full skill access for the Templar

Relic of Akarat belongs to the special line of follower items that grant your companion access to all skills. Instead of picking just one skill per category, your Templar can then use all of his abilities at once, which sharply raises his support value.

That makes this relic a must-have for anyone who seriously uses their Templar companion as support, whether for healing, crowd control or resource regeneration in solo play. Tip: When gearing your Templar, also give him items with cannot-die effects or defensive bonuses so that, despite his full skill arsenal, he keeps fighting at your side without ever letting his effects lapse.

A Relic Only the Templar Uses

As a Templar relic, the piece sits in the follower's special slot and is tied to the Templar. Picking the relic is therefore also picking the follower: once you have settled on the Templar, there is little left to decide for his special slot, since the relic asks nothing of you - it occupies no slot of your own hero.

The real gain is that you no longer have to make trade-offs when choosing the Templar's skills. Whichever of his abilities you need most in solo play stops being an either-or decision.

Strength as the Only Stat

The relic carries a fixed +626–750 Strength; there are no further stats and no range on the power. Two copies therefore differ only in that one value, and a Primal Ancient relic sits at 750 Strength. For the power itself this does not matter - it works in full on every copy.

The Founder's Fingerbone

According to the flavor text, this fingerbone is reputed to belong to none other than the founder of the Zakarum faith - and the relic's name reveals who that is.
