Gladiator Gauntlets
These gloves make gold rain from the sky after you earn a Massacre bonus. The effect is primarily a convenient comfort and pickup bonus that showers you with gold while you mow down large packs. On its own it provides no direct damage, but it can make real sense in gold-based builds that tie their defense or output to collected gold.
The strong critical hit chance and high attribute rolls also make the gloves an appealing link for leveling and gold-farming setups. Practical tip: wear them alongside items that convert picked-up gold into protection or speed, so the gold shower fills not only your pockets but your effectiveness too.
The Trigger: Massacre First, Gold Second
The power does not react to single kills, only to an earned Massacre bonus. The gold only falls after you have taken down a large group in quick succession. The power has no range, and the power text does not specify how much gold rains down.
The gold rain has no direct combat value. It only becomes valuable when other parts of your gear turn picked-up gold into protection or speed - without such partners it remains a pure collection bonus.
Strong Even Without the Gold Rain
Regardless of the power, the gloves carry a fixed 8–10% Critical Hit Chance and +626–750 Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence. Those two stats are why the gloves are not useless even if you do not care about gold. Since the power emanates, the gold rain also works when your follower wears the gloves - leaving your own hands free for a combat power. A Primal Ancient pair reaches 10.0% Critical Hit Chance and 750 main stat; the Mystic can re-enchant a mismatched attribute.
From the Emperor's Arenas
According to the flavor text, the combatants in the arenas of Emperor Vaught wore these gloves - fitting for a power that rewards a slaughter with a shower of coins.
