Pool of the item type from the game files, version 2.8.0. Skill damage bonuses only carry weight for their class. All properties of this slot
This bow has been tainted by some strange magic indeed.
A Horde of Exploding Chickens
Cluckeye is perhaps the most absurd bow in the Witch Doctor's arsenal - and a serious damage dealer all the same. Cast Hex - Angry Chicken and all your pets turn into exploding chickens. The chickens hit harder, and your own Angry Chicken gains extra punch for each chicken that bursts.
That ties the bow firmly to chicken builds already built around the Angry Chicken mechanic. Keep your pets alive and close so that, when you transform, you set off as many exploding chickens as possible at once and maximize the damage boost to your own chicken. Play aggressively into the middle of the pack, since the explosions only unfold their full force on tightly grouped enemies.
What the numbers mean
The power has two parts. The damage bonus of the transformed chickens rolls between 150 and 200%; a Primal Ancient reaches the full 200%. The second part is fixed: your own Angry Chicken deals 50% more damage per exploded chicken. Since the transformation affects all your pets, that gain depends directly on how many pets you have when you cast. The bow itself is not class-restricted, but its power only works for the Witch Doctor.
Cube instead of a bow in hand
The bow is two-handed and therefore occupies your off-hand too. The power can instead be activated in the weapon slot of Kanai's Cube, keeping your hands free for other weapons. If you do wield it, it brings random elemental weapon damage of 981 to 1199 minimum and 1175 to 1490 maximum plus Dexterity or Intelligence at 626 to 750 points - for a Witch Doctor only Intelligence makes sense.
Cluckeye alongside Arachyr and the Guardian
Cluckeye shows up alongside several of Arachyr's pieces, including the Mantle, Carapace and Claws, as well as the Guardian's Gaze and Guardian's Case and Squirt's Necklace. The flavor text keeps it brief: this bow has been tainted by some strange magic indeed - a fair description, given what it does to your pets.
