Cloak of Deception gives your Demon Hunter an elegant defense: enemy projectiles sometimes simply pass harmlessly through you. In fights full of ranged attacks and projectile storms, that absorbs a good share of incoming damage without you having to keep a skill active.

The cloak pairs especially well with mobile playstyles that already stand in the line of fire, such as kiting large groups. Because the effect is passive and random, treat it as an extra layer of safety rather than reliable full protection: keep moving and actively dodge avoidable hits as usual. That way the deflected projectiles add up to a real boost to your survivability.
