What the chance per kill means

The power has a 25.0% chance to fire on every enemy you kill, so on average roughly every fourth kill causes an explosion of gold. That tells you where the gem shines and where it doesn't:

• In dense packs full of weak monsters, gold explosions go off in quick succession.
• Against single, tough targets nothing happens for a long time, simply because there is little to kill.

What counts is the number of kills, not the damage you deal. A build that wipes out enemies in large numbers at once gets by far the most out of this gem.
