The configuration
This setup is stored as a complete build — gear, skills, runes and all four cube slots work together and are not assembled from individual statistics.
- Set: The Typhon's Veil
- Rating: tier B across all classes
- Kanai's Cube: Fragment of Destiny, Tasker and Theo, Ring of Royal Grandeur, Orb of Infinite Depth
- Skills: Spectral Blade (Ice Blades), Hydra (Arcane Hydra), Black Hole (Spellsteal), Storm Armor (Shocking Aspect), Blizzard (Frozen Solid), Explosive Blast (Chain Reaction)
- Passives: Audacity, Galvanizing Ward, Arcane Dynamo, Elemental Exposure
- Variants available: GR push, Torment 16 / Nephalem rifts, Speed farming
What the set does
This build wears The Typhon's Veil. These bonuses apply once the matching number of set pieces is equipped — the damage multiplier hangs on them, not on the individual stats of the pieces:
- 2 pieces: Double the duration of Hydras and increase the number of heads on multi-headed Hydras by two.
- 4 pieces: Damage taken is reduced by 8% for each Hydra head alive. Each time you take damage, a head dies. A head cannot die more than once every 2 seconds.
- 6 pieces: Hydras deal 4000% increased damage for each Hydra head alive.
How the variants differ
Measured against the push version. Anything not listed here stays the same:
- Torment 16 / Nephalem rifts: swaps in skills Familiar (Arcanot), Storm Armor (Power of the Storm), Teleport (Calamity); cube Aether Walker; gems Boon of the Hoarder.
- Speed farming: swaps in skills Electrocute (Forked Lightning), Storm Armor (Scramble), Teleport (Calamity); cube Aether Walker; gems Zei's Stone of Vengeance.
Sockets and gems
The 3 legendary gems (Bane of the Stricken, Bane of the Trapped, Enforcer) belong in the jewellery slots — that is the only place their rank counts, and the only place they keep growing when you upgrade after a Greater Rift.
The remaining 7 sockets are filled with Topaz: the multiplier already comes from the set and the legendary powers, so one more base stat does more there than another effect would.
On the season theme
Shades of the Nephalem spawns a shadow clone of your class at every shrine and pylon that fights along for one minute. Activate shrines inside the pull, not on the way there. The fourth cube slot is already filled in every variant above.
