The configuration
This setup is stored as a complete build — gear, skills, runes and all four cube slots work together and are not assembled from individual statistics.
- Set: Gears of Dreadlands
- Rating: tier C across all classes
- Kanai's Cube: The Ninth Cirri Satchel, Depth Diggers, Convention of Elements, Ring of Royal Grandeur
- Skills: Hungering Arrow (Shatter Shot), Strafe (Stinging Steel), Fan of Knives (Assassin's Knives), Preparation (Battle Scars), Smoke Screen (Special Recipe), Vengeance (Dark Heart)
- Passives: Archery, Ambush, Cull the Weak, Numbing Traps
- Variants available: Speed farming, GR push, Torment 16 / Nephalem rifts
What the set does
This build wears Gears of Dreadlands. These bonuses apply once the matching number of set pieces is equipped — the damage multiplier hangs on them, not on the individual stats of the pieces:
- 2 pieces: Gain 4 seconds of Momentum when attacking with a Primary skill, at a maximum duration of 20 seconds. This duration begins counting down after a delay of 5 seconds after each application. Your Primary skills deal 10% increased damage per second of Momentum.
- 4 pieces: Strafing against enemies will automatically shoot your last used primary skill, and also give 60% damage reduction while strafing and for 5 seconds after. While Strafing, you gain 8% increased movement speed for each second of Momentum.
- 6 pieces: Your primary skills deal 27,500% increased damage.
How the variants differ
Measured against the push version. Anything not listed here stays the same:
- Speed farming: swaps in skills Strafe (Rocket Storm).
- Torment 16 / Nephalem rifts: swaps in skills Strafe (Rocket Storm), Shadow Power (Blood Moon); cube Dawn, Goldwrap, Krelm's Buff Belt; gems Boon of the Hoarder.
Sockets and gems
The 3 legendary gems (Bane of the Trapped, Taeguk, Simplicity's Strength) belong in the jewellery slots — that is the only place their rank counts, and the only place they keep growing when you upgrade after a Greater Rift.
The remaining 8 sockets are filled with Diamond: the multiplier already comes from the set and the legendary powers, so one more base stat does more there than another effect would.
On the season theme
Shades of the Nephalem spawns a shadow clone of your class at every shrine and pylon that fights along for one minute. Activate shrines inside the pull, not on the way there. The fourth cube slot is already filled in every variant above.
