Command Golem

Command Golem passively summons a loyal companion that fights for you continuously, and gives you a second, often more decisive effect via an active command. By default the golem dissolves on command into a pile of corpses, which is worth its weight in gold for corpse-based builds, since skills like Corpse Explosion or Corpse Lance need a constant supply of corpses.

Flesh Golem reinforces exactly this role by having the command produce even more corpses, ideal as a reliable corpse source for your spenders. If you need crowd control instead, the Bone Golem gathers enemies at one point and stuns them, lining packs up perfectly for bundling and striking down. If you want survivability, the Blood Golem sacrifices itself and heals you substantially. Which golem fits your build depends entirely on whether corpses, control or healing take priority.

Decay Golem and Ice Golem

Two runes have not come up above yet:

  • Ice Golem (level 24): the Golem launches an icy blast at the target location that Freezes enemies for 3 seconds and raises their chance to be critically hit by 10% for 10 seconds. The damage becomes Cold.
  • Decay Golem (level 41): the Golem consumes corpses at the target location, each raising its damage by 30%. The damage becomes Poison.

While levelling, Flesh Golem arrives at level 18 with 8 instead of 5 corpses, Bone Golem follows at level 36, and Blood Golem at level 51 with a heal of 25% of your health.

Passive and active part

Even without a command, the Flesh Golem fights for you permanently and deals 450% weapon damage per attack. The active command has a 45-second cooldown. The base version yields exactly 5 corpses – as many as Corpse Explosion can detonate in one cast. Corpse Lance and Devour draw on that pile as well.

Golemskin Breeches

The leg armor Golemskin Breeches cuts the command's cooldown by 20–25 seconds and reduces your damage taken by 30% while the Golem is alive. With a 45-second base, a high roll is noticeable: the command is then ready far more often.
